Defkalion, the Piantelli connection

November 23, 2011

Defkalion claims to have technology that is “ahead of Rossi”. They claim that they will reveal, “announcements and initiated testing and certification by independent third parties.” in early December (15 days from November 20). They claim that they do not use Rossi’s methods. (

A Case for Rossi

November 2, 2011

There seems to be a lot of skepticism about the e-cat.  Skeptics point to the fact that formal science hasn’t been done (  Skeptics point to imperfections in Rossi’s history, as if everyone who discovers new technology must live the life of a saint.  Skeptics point to the issues of secrecy.  I agree that the secrecy is frustrating, but secrecy in the world of intellectual property is a common necessity.

1 M-Watt Running Commentary

October 27, 2011

By Bob Norman

My predictions
Will it be conclusive? No, the skeptics will be their in force
Will the customer be identified? No
Will Rossi’s partner be named? Maybe (How’s that for a prediction)
Will defkalion announce to steal Rossi’s thunder? No
Will Roll out plans be given?

Lets not forget Piantelli

August 20, 2011

In 1995, Piantelli filed patents on a nickel + hydrogen = copper reaction.  He claims a 2 to 3 times power multiplier.  Further claims include his reaction operating without any heat input.  Piantelli’s reaction operates without any catalyst as Dr. Rossi’s reaction has.

How I have invested for the e-cat

August 19, 2011

For reasons that have nothing to do with Dr. Rossi’s e-cat, investing is a challenge right now to say the least.  I have, however made some changes to my personal portfolio (though it isn’t huge) in response to the pending e-cat (see article in

Wouldn’t this be fun?

April 28, 2011

I am sure that a steam engine with e-cat cores won’t be cheap.  But I want lots of toys: personal watercraft, fishing boat, quad, snowmobile, etc.   All of these toys require an engine, somewhere around 100 horsepower would be sufficient for each case.   (more…)

A plea for standards

April 27, 2011

With every new technology we seem to have to wrestle with the question of standards.  We seem to have learned the value of standards for digital media (VHS, CD, DVD, Blue-Ray).  However, we have proven quite lousy at providing standards in many other areas.

How small does it go?

April 20, 2011

Dr. Rossi is currently assembling a 1 megawatt power plant.  Certainly BIG isn’t the challenge.  But how small of an energy catalyzer is possible?

How goes the car company?

April 19, 2011

Let me see, at some point the world is going to realize that the rossi e-cat is for real.  What will they do?  Well, I won’t be buying a new gasoline car if waiting a few years will get me into a gas-free, nuclear powered rossi e-cat car.  It’ll probably take a while for people to figure this out, but it certainly won’t take long for auto sales to begin to droop.  Not good for the car company.

But more, the car companies will have a lot of R & D work to do.  There will likely be a bidding war for companies such as Cyclone Power Technologies.  Anybody with heat engine engineering (more…)
